As I understand it the smoked chrome is standard on the S4. Perhaps the brushed alloy that matches the brushed alloy of the RS4 mirrors was an option.
I have a full set of brushed ally window trims from an RS4 if anyone is interested. £50.
I wouldn't like to post them because of the danger in bending them.
By the way it is possible to replace the strips long the doors without drilling out the rivets that hold the rubber/plastic backing. If you are extremely careful you can seperate the ally/chrome strip from their rubber holders - without even opening the door. Takes 10 mins a door.
