The Dunlops wore OK, but since I swapped wheels for a track day I've been running on some old Pirellis. They survived the abuse (twice) so I've kept those wheels on over Winter and will either run them to a safe minimum or kill them on a final track day.peterb wrote:They're the ones! How do you find them? Swapping tyres is always an awkward issue. I hardly want to spend £700 - 800 on a new set of tyres, just to find that they're worse than what I had. I think I'd rather stick with what I know rather than suffer a potential disappointment.Jeeves wrote:Peter - My 6+ came with 255/35 ZR 19 Sport 9000 RS (interesting suffix). Sounds like they may last longer than the brakes!
However, I certainly have no concerns over any particular aspect of the Dunlops.
The Dunlops with RS suffix may be of a slightly different compond to non-RS ones so will not necessarily wear the same. Try a good independent or maybe Hi-Q. I used to work for a fast-fit owned by Michelin, so will be getting some PS2s fitted by my old colleagues (who were unable to find the Dunlop Sport 9000 RS). Convenient?
