That was meOriginally posted by Bob_Defly
Had a pax in an RS6 the other week, and I think it would kill me on the straights, I'd have it in the corners, but only if I was driving both. :p
"Omen666" scared the crap outta me, the RS6 doesn't go around corners, it eat them up and turns them into straights...

Been in several Elises, Exiges, RS4's and my RS6 on track and they are completely different.
Graham W's elise went round corners like it was on rails. You can get on the power hard in the corners and really push it, whereas the RS's require patience to avoid the understeer and wait until the 'nose can see where its going' then floor it. So two completely different driving styles.
In a 'race' it would come down to driver skill IMHO. If the RS driver could carry as much corner speed they would make it difficult for the Elise. But it depends on the course of course. More corners adv. Lotus less corners adv. Audi.
So its not really a true comparision of the cars this 'event'...more like on the day the driving/road suited the Lotus. Doesn't really prove anything.
Better to enjoy the play, have a thumbs up at the end and respect each others respective cars/abilities.
We've got enough problems trying to enjoy ourselves on the road despite the government/police without bitching about fellow petrolheads....peace brothers
