What a :knob: i was 5 cars behind one the other day on a lovely long single carriageway and i watched as he was darting in and out of the line of traffic taking cars one by one going right up the harris before overtaking so i took the whole line including him slowed down to wait for some fun but he stayed right off my bumper obviously all of a sudden the bully was being bullied. :boohoo:
i hope you put up a fight against the comment :bash:

"Omen666" scared the crap outta me, the RS6 doesn't go around corners, it eat them up and turns them into straights...
That was me

Graham W's elise went round corners like it was on rails. You can get on the power hard in the corners and really push it, whereas the RS's require patience to avoid the understeer and wait until the 'nose can see where its going' then floor it. So two completely different driving styles.

In a 'race' it would come down to driver skill IMHO. If the RS driver could carry as much corner speed they would make it difficult for the Elise. But it depends on the course of course. More corners adv. Lotus less corners adv. Audi.

So its not really a true comparision of the cars this 'event'...more like on the day the driving/road suited the Lotus. Doesn't really prove anything.
Better to enjoy the play, have a thumbs up at the end and respect each others respective cars/abilities.

We've got enough problems trying to enjoy ourselves on the road despite the government/police without bitching about fellow petrolheads....peace brothers

I have both and I love both....as has been said they are different cars for different roads/days/moods. Both are excellent at what they do and owners of either should be respected for having made a good enthusiasts choice (rather than putting brown flip paint, spoilers and an RS4 badge on an A4 Cabriolet for instance...)

Hey Simon...you still over here from time to time...?

Funnily enough there is an owning a RS4 type article in this months audi driver, and they talk to owners - and one guy (Andy, maybe hes on here?) says something about using it on track and 'blowing away Elises' (its not a direct quote as i read it earlier but its something like that :)

My house mate has an S1 Elise (118 bhp with S2 suspension, wheels and uprated brakes).

My mapped S4 is significantly quicker than the Elise (in a straight line) from 70 mph to *cough*, but the Elise isn't a long way behind up to 60mph ish. It requires a meaty launch in the S4 to keep him at bay!

Neither my house mate or myself can be classed as good drivers lol.

I hear what you say, and I know Elise is a quick car but horses for courses....
