Right, I need to know the exact symptoms as there are a few TPIs regarding RS3 DSG...

When the vehicle is cold (after standing overnight), if I exit a side street from stationary using Manual and around 1/3rd throttle the car will not shift to second when I pull the '+' paddle around 2,600 rpm.

Sometimes, when the car is warm, and I am in Manual the car will not upshift when I use the '+' lever under harder acceleration (maybe 4/5ths throttle). This is probably more like 2,800 to 3000 rpm.

Any suggestions gladly received!

Slow to change gear?

It may need a software update, I'll check the tpi number next week.

Although, when cold, it may not let you change up too soon so to reduce load on the box/engine at cold temps/low engine speeds..?

If I leave the car in D and pull out more gently then it changes up around 2,400 so I don't think that's a factor in this case.

Trip to dealer produced no answers for me on this. How long should it take for gearbox to adapt ? In drive it's is super smooth but manual is jerky especially on downshifts, but not consistent so I can't put a finger on what gear and revs combination exactly. I would say it is most common when travelling at a constant speed so for example following another car, and changing down in preparation for an overtake

Similar for me. The car went in but nothing could be isolated or reproduced. I'm a professional software tester so I'm quite good at spotting patterns of behaviour and contributing circumstances. It looked like the car was consistently struggling when cold, but that now seems to have gone.

The master-tech at my dealership though it could just be rough during the process of adaption; maybe he was right? The car has only had a stumble once in the last week and it wasn't under cold-start conditions.

I would suggest keeping an eye on the behaviour for the next couple of hundred miles and see if it gets better. At the end of the day, you have 60k miles or three years for it to be decided. My first DSG did fail and needed a new mechatronic control unit. The problem was very pronounced and consistent in that case. This is nowhere like that (for me).
