After a little alarm horn fault help
Getting the fault code 01134 Alarm horn H12 no signal on my rs6. I have swapped the alarm unit out under the front scuttle panel and no change.
I have tried looking for a blown fuse but I cant find a labelled alarm horn fuse in the front left and right panels or boot panel. Any ideas where fuse panel f2 is?
Otherwise I’m guessing a wiring fault? Any ideas, experiences or guidance appreciated.

Gotta say, the idea of installing a train horn on your car sounds wild! It's like turning your ride into a mini locomotive cruising down the streets. But hey, let's not forget about the practical side of things. Sure, it's fun to make a statement with a blast of sound that could wake up the whole neighborhood, but imagine the looks you'd get from pedestrians and other drivers! It's a bit of a double-edged sword, ain't it?
Personally, I'm all for expressing yourself and adding some flair to your wheels, but there's a fine line between cool and downright obnoxious. Plus, I can't help but wonder about the legalities of it all. Wouldn't wanna end up on the wrong side of the law just for a loud honk, right?
So, to answer the question in the topic, I'd say it depends on your style and how much you're willing to risk for a bit of fun. But hey, that's just my two cents.

As far as I can decipher the nightmare that is the current flow diagrams in ELSAWin, on the Avant the alarm horn fuse is number 8 in the black fuse holder in the boot. Looking at my car I'm pretty certain the fuses are numbered bottom to top.

Have the same fault code on mine
Re: Alarm Horn Fault (01134)
from my search today the H12 alarm horn itself is from Fuse 7 on ST2 guys which goes to terminal 3 on the horn, but its also connected to J393 convenience unit in the boot (at terminal 1 on the horn), J393 presumably drives the output or monitors for the diagnostics or both.
ST2 is in the boot offside behind the cubby hole
Noteworthy J393 itself has a couple of Fused feeds supplying itself, its a very busy controller!
If you have power at the horn on Terminal 3 and a good ground on Terminal 2, its pointing to an issue from J393

Jim - the ELSAWIN circuit diagrams are not that bad, dont know if you realise this but if you click in the box with a number in it (for the horn the '22' for example) it hyperlinks to the circuit with the accompanying link on it (for the horn where the F7 is), and this number relates to the index number at the foot of the circuit page at that destination. Without these hyperlinks it would be a mare as many of the diagrams have the same index numbers on them
