Typical... I've just had a carbon clean done. Just been out driving it and the traction control light has come on again... Last time it did this, VCDS said air mass fault, which i replaced with a new one. Not sure if the pcv would bring up an air mass fault on VCDS or not..?

I would try a mass airflow sensor first then, easyer job.

Were you really gentle when you put the new one in? Perhaps the wiring was damaged slightly?

Have you recently oiled the filter element?

Genuine audi. I have read up on the filter oil destroying the maf, and there is no proof that such a thing happens... Especially after putting in a new on for under 100 miles

Also, i un plugged the maf today whilst it was revving up and down on idle, and it was still revving up and down with it un-plugged..

There's a few members on here that had their MAF sensors distorted by filter oil from the Revolution induction kit, Youngben had two distorted within months and that's why they are supplied with dry filters now. When I washed and re-oiled mine, I had to leave it standing for a week. There were loads of oil and had to use compressed air to blow off the excess oil before refitting it.
