Dave - what is latest ID3 tag version accepted?

Also have you ever seen this phenomenon? Track plays fine but as a new track is played, the (previously fine) track name gets replaced with a symbol (sort of like IO ).
Normally I do not do
artist > album > track title
as I fear a long track title could screw things up, I use
artist > track title
as I rarely have more than 1 album by the same artist on the same card

It only happens on one Kings of Leon album which I accidentally added as a subset of another KOL album so my suspicion is the pathname was too long - so its:
kings of leon>come around sundown>track titles

but it plays fine, just messes up the track names :?

Do you have a 2010+ RNS-E, or the older version (as fitted by Audi to the RS4).

That's been reported by several people on www.audiforum.us - but only on the 2010+ RNS-E and is fixed with the latest SW.

I presume you mean that you got a SDHC card? Max SD card capacity is 4gb and should work.

SD card <= 4GB ----> only this works in the pre-2010 RNS-E as fitted to the B7 RS4
SDHC card >= 4GB (max 32GB)
SDXC >= 64GB (max 2TB)

So 16GB is an SDHC card, even if the vendor incorrectly describes it as an SD card.

I have original RNS-E as fitted on my 2007 car, have never updated the SW

using 4gb SD cards
