Door open warning fault

Post by Frazz82 » Wed Feb 28, 2024 6:03 pm

Had a week fault free :D but now my car thinks all 4 doors are open when there not resulting in it beeping all the time. I ran the battery flat earlier if that points to the issue I am having an does anyone know how to fix it.

Sounds like your CCM is having a bad day. I’d disconnect the battery and reconnect after 1/2 hour. Make sure it has a good charge in it

Cheers will give it a go. Is there a fuse I can pull to stop it beeping as I am off an 600 mile round trip Friday.

I ve only got the onboard one I can take it to my mate tomorrow though.

I ve took the CCM out an checked the floor which is dry.

Just found it odd that after I let the battery go flat this fault has happened.

Yeah. It’s odd that it’s soiled its pants like this.

The battery might be coincidence. Or maybe the battery is a symptom, not a cause. Vagcom will tell you what the CCM thinks is happening with door sensors etc.

Does the CCM control the windows amd central aswell as the remote central locking had been playing up for abit an new batteries didn't do anything.

I ve left the brown plug out an that's stopped the door open from going off.

Is the harness under the seats linked to the CCM at all as I was messing around with it prior to the battery dying an the door fault was not there before the battery died and I messed about with the harness.

Update on this. Replaced the CCM and the only fault I have now is the central locking as it doesn't work either by putting key in door or off the fob.

As its a different CCM will it need programming?
