Hektor,
Checked ETKA and not got a match for that part number
If it's at the back right hand side of the Y pipe and you have to pull it off to remove the Y pipe this is the PCV breather which looks like it's part of the dreaded spider pipe at back of head.
[just checked mine and it is]
You thus need a new spider pipe from main dealer or Virdee which is worth changing anyway though I'd pay someone :)

Which nut are you struggling with the one? I guess there's just one nut, the rest are bolts and that's on the side rather than the top, it behind a few pipes but I just slotted in a small 10mm spanner

Can you identify the pipe from the diagram here?

http://www.vagcat.com/epc/cat/au/RS4/20 ... 9/2972882/

You'll probably need to create an account to access the diagram.

Yep, it's totally normal to get quite oily.

neckarsulm just found out that it is the pcv but only the pipe that connects to the alloy y pipe everything else is fine. I managed to lean on the small pipe and snap it, is it possible to replace this pipe with something similar or do i need the whole thing?

And it is the small nut at the back of the pump which i cannot for the life of me get round to, if only i had smaller hands!!!!

Topbear i was worried that there was something wrong with my engine, but it is good to know that its ok. Would you recommend cleaning things since they are off?

According to ETKA it's all one piece (see pic)

A certain Surrey specialist (not just 2.7T) had fitted my new pump and hadn't tightened that nut up which made it easy for me

I just need that pipe which comes out of the left hand side if the pvc the rest is in tact and so are the clips, could i replace the pipe with rubber? if so where could i get it from?

I managed to get the nut and change the pump over, everything is such a tight fit i dont think i will be changing anything again.

Are you sure you haven't removed a turbo in error :D
According to ETKA (which is what main dealers pick their parts from) the part number you quoted doesn't exist, which is because you have to buy the whole lot as shown in pic item 51 078 103 235 G

Defo not a turbo, but just about everything else to get to the pump lol

They quoted me £70 for the whole lot lol i tried to say i dont need the whole lot just a small pipe that connects from the pcv to y pipe but they were having none of it, so im trying to fine a rubber pipe that will do the job and save myself some cash in the process.

Why do i have to be such an idiot when it comes to D.I.Y

Trust me Hektor, maybe once upon a time that part was available separatelt but now it's not, have checked across VW Audi Seat and Skoda parts indices.
Best to fabricate something.
The same issue applies to the breather on Golf VR6 but luckily you can get the separate bit if you order it for a Sharan.

As said thats part of the spider pipe.

Try and improvise, if you don't fancy changing the whole lot!

They do get brittle over time with heat, etc, that's probably why it broke on you.

Finally fixed it, i managed to re-use the clip and pcv and joined both using a bit of rubber pipe which my local garage gave to me for free, the car seems to be working fine fingers crossed, but i dont think i will be trying anything D.I.Y again.

Anyway many thanks for your help, advice and patience.

Why don't you just get rid of this whole SAI system?
