Sinking brake pedal

Post by MarkMRS4 » Mon Oct 17, 2011 10:40 pm

Well thought id ask the question to see if its a common thing...

When i first start the car at any time, the first time i hit the brake it seems to sink way lower than it does when i apply it right after. But after that initial first time its never as bad.

Almost like theres some sort of floating disc problem, or a leak?...

just want to put it out there incase im worrying over nothing... or its a serious problem!~

Thanks in advace.

Over servoed or leaking fluid, mine does it and the second stab is always firmer.

Not a disc problem I think.
When you change pads and push the pistons back the first couple of brake pumps do this.

Could be a vacuum problem - the fact it is fine after this doesn't suggest leaking fluid.

You may have or had air in the system - ever boiled the fluid? How Old is the fluid?

Worth a fluid change to see if it sorts it.
