Brake fluid change
Brake fluid change
Some confusion at dealership. They are not sure if Brake fluid needs to be changed after two years and the same thereafter or after three years and then every two years thereafter. Anyone know which is correct?

Re: Brake fluid change
Might be an idea to check with dealership again as mine says they think it is wrong on the system and should be after three years for the RS. Anyone else have any idea?pippyrips wrote:2 years - my local dealer called me the other day to book me in!Jezzer wrote:Some confusion at dealership. RE: Re: Brake fluid change
I would be inclined to do it sooner on an RS model!
And I would definitely say every 2 years.

Re: Brake fluid change
To me it feels like it needs to be changed - wouldn't fancy going for another year with the current fluid.Jezzer wrote:Might be an idea to check with dealership again as mine says they think it is wrong on the system and should be after three years for the RS. RE: Re: Brake fluid change
Had mine done recently as dealer advised it was recommended to be completed every 2 years. They also serviced the air-con.
Everyone is unique, just like you and me.
Every two years as part of the service schedule. However as i was handed car back after its service said it needed brake fluid change! why the hell they couldnt do it at the same time beats me as i was waiting at the same time
going to do it myself cant be arsed to take it back and let them charge stealer prices

Gents, you'll find the new Audi service scheme which was revised resently says the *first* brake fluid service is done after 3 years then every 2 years after that. The new service scheme mainly affects the model year 8 onward A3s and TTs so far. On these cars there are 2 service lights to reset now - they've made a pretty simple system quite complicated IMHO.
