Not Charles' old one, or mine. Sounds like one of the R Three Digits FOR, of which there are many.

Charles' old car is parked outside my house and usually seen fighting the traffic in Fulham these days

How is the beasty?

No apologies necessary, I can assure you

Charles put the car back to standard before selling to AG. The next owner (from whom I bought privately) used it as a daily driver including hefty motorway miles from London to Manchester meaning it was in good nick when I bought it (at 47k miles), if a little mechanically tired. New clutch and rubber have made the biggest difference to it, and I made sure I got full value from the remaining months of warranty (now expired) with the likes of new centre caps, manifold intake clips and a host of other small things.

MoT has come and gone without a problem, so next stop is modifications. I have to rule out the gmbh suspension for grounding reasons (it's speed bump city around Fulham), so first on the list from here is shortshifter, chip + exhaust. I used to run an AmD'd TT so I probably be back to them with the RS, which is a bit galling as Charles paid them for these bits, then paid them to take them off when he sold, now I'm thinking of paying them to stick them back on again

So in summary the beasty is fine and well and back in the hands of an enthusiast

Hi, Steve. It was me who bought the bits off Charles, so at least you know they went to a good home!
