My pullers wouldnt touch it, so had to cut the ball joint, heat it up and hammer it out in the vice.

Wasnt expecting all this, just hope its the right arm after all.......

Wire brush and my favourite new product, xcp rust blocker. There bits of the sub frame seem to rust frequently.

Well that Part # for the Lower Arms is correct : 8E0 407 693 AL
aka.

LEMFÖRDER Control/Trailing Arm, wheel suspension 29855 01

Although, the Previous Revisions are:

8e0407693n
8E0407693AC
8E0407693AJ
8E0407693AK
8E0407693AM
8E0407693T

So, not sure where your old arms : 8E0 407 695 E fit into that.?

anyway.. curious , was that spacer / sleeve part of the Steering knuckle that came off with the old arm?

Thanks, it is odd.

I beleive the spacer is part of item 12 in your image above. But it can come out. Went back in fine. All back together and looking fine.

I had an issue getting some of the lemforder bits for the front suspension so my mechanic recommended a Myele HD set.
Everything looked to fit fine
