Cost of disks and pads

Post by S4WON » Sun Mar 09, 2014 10:33 am

Hi all

I'm seeing a 4 today, possible negotiation point is disks and pads. How much should I expect to pay from a stealer?

Cheers

Just had a quick look on ECP and they are listing front pagid discs at £29 each for the front and front pagid pads for just under £60 a set. Bloody cheap!

And half the price of discs for my B7 S4! That seems like a lot tbh. I would fit them myself and save a fortune in labour.

£29 per disk - are you sure ?
Flip pin' ECM - I'll use them as crockery.

Disks on the old 3.2TT were £400 odd.

I put in the car as a 2010 S4. Checked the spec on the actual disc page and came up as 345mm which I believe is the right size..

How do you know which is correct ? I put my reg. in, it came up with the right car, and it listed discs with different diameters. It also listed disks with the same 345mm diameter several times. For example there are two Pagid disks available, one more expensive than the other ( and there are Bosch and others available). Why do you think it's the £29 one and not the £39 one . . . .

I just picked the first one on the list as an example. The correct ones specific for the car may vary from what I picked but was just trying to give a rough helping guide prive wise :)

You were right - I checked with ECP. Fantastic price at less than £60 a pair and I've not heard any bad reports of Pagid. Might order a pair for the future. I was expecting two or three hundred quid :beerchug:
