Will you not feel nervous every time you drive it?

I would knowing it's previous.

Good luck and enjoy.
But what do any of us on this forum actually know about the car's history and problems? Seems nobody else wants to say it - possibly because they aren't thinking it - so I am going to.

Some of the claims made about this car have been ridiculous. Sorry, Zebede, but you haven't come across in any of this as being credible. And, if I ever doubted myself for doubting you, the last nail in the coffin was when you wrote this:
...every time I drove it I had a nagging doubt that it might go wrong, the last time it did - total brake failure which was an additional problem that it haven't mentioned previously...
I mean, FFS, nobody forgets to mention total brake failure.

Thanks Chris and to everyone else I really (as always) appreciate the concerns, this is a great place to be for advice and some good banter at times.
To your question (and in all honesty) I don't I really don't! Audi let me have extended test drives in it and obviously I've been out in it quite a bit since I picked her up. I had total transparency throughout. Amazing machine as we all know and I'm quietly confident. As I said if it goes t1ts up (which would surprise me) then I'll be fessing up on here but I have a deal that it will go back to Audi. On both sides (myself and Audi) I believe we are confident!

At some point this car was going to get sold to someone.

It's best it got sold to someone aware of the previous issues (thanks to the forum), who has done enough due diligence on it to be satisfied those issues have been fixed, and with a free put option with Audi.

All the best OP - enjoy your new car!

Nice looking motor! Just hope you don't have a big nose, that'll be the first thing to get broken if the old fault (what ever it was) rears its ugly head.
As always with any Audi, good luck during the ownership.

Thanks guys I look forward to posting about it.
As for residuals...well it's a 16 Plate FL with over 14k's worth of good options on it so residual value will be strong. It cost just over £93k a year ago. I wanted a specific spec and while every car I looked at came close it didn't have the spec of my new one. An older one with similar spec but less Mileage is up at Watford Audi for around £75k. The comments of 'demand half the ticket price' were outlandish and I don't think ever a realistic prospect. I think everyone on here (bar a couple) have zeroed in on the reported issues ON THIS FORUM and not what the ground truth was and hence all the comments coming out. I totally get that and no flies on anyone here. Believe you me if I thought this car was a 'death trap' and that Audi had covered up major issues in some dark conspiracy to shift the car on then it wouldn't be in my possession. As I said I spent a lot of time doing some digging.....I bought the car. 'Nuff said!

Congrats on the purchase Stevo and I'm hoping that nothing goes wrong with the car.

It's been interesting watch this thread unfold and at the end of the day, everyone's going to have an opinion but as long as you've done your due dil, which it sounds like you have, then you're going in with your eyes wide open.

Good luck with the new toy and let's hope you have many happy miles!

Regardless of people's opinions, you might want to read through/study the document I have attached below. That way you can gain an understanding of how the dynamic steering system works and make an informed decision for yourself.

Look forward to reading that thanks mate.
The new car has had some 'brucie bonuses' on it such as new discs as the previous owner got them replaced under warranty. Another unexpected bonus is the fact that I'm getting a new grille! When I spoke to Zebede he mentioned the fact that Audi hadn't repaired the damage to the front of the car from when he 'hit a pheasant at 100 mph'. He told me to check it out which I did. Now, the damage wasn't QUITE as described Image('big hole in grille and bumper pushed back 5mm') and Audi had no knowledge of this (car had never been in for bodywork through their system). When I had a look I found this:
Image

That's the damage in its entirety.
If you look at the blurry bit in the back of the photo that's what appears to be the small remains of some sort of animal-there's bits of fur visible so that would match up with hitting a pheasant/animal of some sort.
Audi hadn't pinged that (in all fairness If I hadn't known to look in that area then I challenge anyone to spot that) and as a consequence I now get an entirely new grille ImageImage. Seeing as I intend getting the whole car de-chromed they're getting me a blacked out one complete with Quattro badge so it's a win win-new grille and saves me money for when I get the chrome bits wrapped.

Congrats on the car. Re the grill, I don't really follow why Audi would have replaced the grill for the previous owner if the damage came after hitting a bird at 100 mph? The same methodology would give you a new windscreen if you get a stone chip?

Well they wouldn't have replaced the grille for him but he didn't get it repaired obviously. One of the many odd things I've discovered since getting involved with this particular car. Doesn't matter though as I'm getting a brand spanking new one for nothing! As I said-I have nothing but good things to say about how they've treated me.
