RNS-E Installation into a B5 RS4

No, trying to complete a dash transplant would be a massive job, and I don't think it would fit.
To retrofit fit RNS-E into your car, would require the following parts
Double Din Centre console
Double Din Cage
Double Din Air Con unit (I think you could get one form ebay)
Double Din gearstick surround
Double Din ashtray (Not required if you don't smoke)
Audi Navigation Unit (A6 Version)
Wiring harness with can-bus
GPS Antenna
Switches (hazard waring etc)
It's not a massive job and an be easily complete 4-5 hours

can-bus is the communication for the car. The infotainment can-bus which is used for the navigation, gives information like ignition on/off, lights on/off, time, speed (A3, A4 B6/B7) information to the DIS, communication to the phone system. If you don't have can-bus then the RNS-E will not work. The adaptor show able is just plug and play, but my guess is the diagnostic wire is missing in your ISO connectors so you need to connect the wire..
