Is there anything original left on your car? I reckon your whole car is a newun?steve2003rs6 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:17 amIf it does take a while then so be it. It could prove to be beneficial. That will give me time to sort out a new rad.
With new fans and cooler it would be a shame not to replace the rad.

Lol.
I still have a few items on my wish list.
But I have to curb further expenditure for a while.

Re: Afterrun fans
Large fan eventually delivered from Audi Tradition to forwarding company in Germany at 11:30 this morning, according to DHL. Although the forwarding company haven’t confirmed this as yet.
Update. Forwarding company confirmed receipt of my package. I should get the fan within 6 working days.
Opted for economy delivery instead of premium delivery.
Fans have cost enough as it is.

Re: Afterrun fans
I have a feeling Hella make both fans. I'd think there would be something in the catalogue sufficiently similar. One of mine has made noises since I had the car. I think I went down the replacement rabbit hole a few years ago as one of mine is a bit noisy.
Re: Afterrun fans
They are Bosch, but yes, I think you could probably cannibalise a similar model if it came to it. They are definitely PWM so coming up with a replacement controller should be fairly trivial doable.

Re: Afterrun fans
Update.
New oil cooler installed
8x oil pipes and hoses replaced
New Small and large fans fitted
New radiator
Rocker cover gaskets fitted
New oil and filter.
Oil leak seems to be the turbo oil drain pipe again.
The pipe flange was distorted. Flange was dressed up with a file. Then new gasket and o ring fitted.
Will see how it goes.
Large fan still doesn’t work. Car back in garage on Thursday for further investigation.

Ouch! Bet that was a fair old whack to the wallet. Hope it's something simple remaining, after all that!steve2003rs6 wrote:Update.

Re: Afterrun fans
Thanks Technic.
Yes mate I also hope it’s something simple.
I will run a diagnostic tomorrow and check for any error codes.
