Re: Afterrun fans
Large fan 360mm confirmed faulty.
Small fan 280mm is ok. This comes on with the a/c.
So will try to replace both fans with new in the near future.
But it ain’t cheap.

Re: Afterrun fans
Let us know how you go on Steve. Both were NLA everywhere when I was looking, couldn't get much info on compatibility with other models either; they may well be C5 RS6 exclusive.steve2003rs6 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 9:23 pmLarge fan 360mm confirmed faulty.

With a lot of help from shoppinit.
I have managed to purchase a new original large fan from Audi Tradition. It ain’t cheap well over £1 k
The new small original fan was purchased from Deutsche Parts which was around £250.
Both fans are complete and inclusive of built in control units.
Hope this helps.

Re: Afterrun fans
The small one has a separate control unit.

Re: Afterrun fans
Just waiting for the large fan to arrive but
Having lots of delivery problems with Audi tradition and DHL.
Then get them installed. Hopefully with the new cooler.
Re: Afterrun fans
Are you going to throw your old one(s) away. I'd be interested in seeing if the broken one (I think that's the large one?) is repairable by a middle aged bloke in a garage - that'd be a useful DIY, wouldn't it?

Re: Afterrun fans
Sorry Matt. I have already promised it to a fellow member.
Re: Afterrun fans
No problems at all. To whoever it is - if it's repairable, please can you do a DIY?

Re: Afterrun fans
If it does take a while then so be it. It could prove to be beneficial. That will give me time to sort out a new rad.
With new fans and cooler it would be a shame not to replace the rad.

Just in time for this summer's heatwave.
