Nut inside the ECU box. Unplug the ECu and then you should be able to see it

Great...turning into a right old saga this one....

ECU now removed from box. BUT, there's insufficient slack in the wiring to pull the ECU box forward by more than a few mm - insufficient to allow me to remove the wiper linkage.

There are 5 wiring connectors that need to be removed from the back of the box ( that fit into a recessed hole underneath the ECU box ). It's not obvious how to remove these connectors and very little room to do it either ( no room for fingers ). Is it just a case of yanking with a pair of pliers ? Are there tangs that need to be opened / pressed in ?

There's been no mention of having to do this on any of the previous threads on this subject :( perhaps my wiring is shorter than anyone elses ! That'd be just my luck..

Starting to get fed up with this...I looked into getting this done at a garage or stealerships earlier by claiming on WarrantyDirect....guess what - the wiper motor is covered, not the linkage. Typical.

TIA

Rick.

They should just pull out.

There's a sliding mech on the ECU connectors which allows the ECU to be removed, however I don't recall seeing a sliding mech for the 5 square plugs.

Will have to strip it all down again and take another look.....
