Strange bolt and looks like seat out. Sadly.

I haven't checked thouroughly, but at first sight it is a bigger torx size.
There is some space but not much.
Maybe you can get a bit in and turn it with a spanner that fits the drive side.
A wrench won't fit.
Seat out will be easier, or at least undo the inside and loosen the outside bolts near the door and you may be able to tilt it a bit.
Changing upholstery is defenitely seat out.
Nothing dramatic, I had my seat upholstery changed on my previous car due to burnt heating.
A bit decent mechanic can do it, but changing the upholstery is fiddely.
I will leave it to the pro's as it's a warranty issue.

I was at my audi dealer today and already got an email that its covered by warranty and I'll get a complete new seat pad within 4-5 weeks.
Apparently, audi needs to put some sort of protection arround the belt-holder as well (Because changing the angle might not be possible from a security point of view).
Cheers

Correct. Mine has arrived at the dealer a few days ago, I'm booked for nov. 14.
The angle can be changed. Some seats are ok some are too low.
I presume they just hold it by hand and then screw it on.
All are fastened in different angles. Defenitly not a jig used in assembly.
Driver's seat is rubbing a lot, passenger side is ok.
The last stockcar at the dealer was rubbing on the driver's side but not as much as mine.
That passenger's side was also ok on that car.

Spoke to my local audi dealer today and they have the bottom seat cover on order for me (covered by warantee) they have also confirmed they will adjust the angle of both front seat seatbelts.

My seat issue was solved on wednesday. A new bottom seat upholstery was installed.
It was covered by the warranty.
I posted some pics in my readers’ ride thread.

Mine was also repaced today, they also fitted some felt to the seat belt holster to reduce friction inorder to prevent it from happening to the new seat. Supprisingly I had to argue with them to also apply the felt to the passanger side seat belt aswell. I will post some pictures later this weekend.

That felt isn’t really needed. I only have it on the drivers side.
Now the buckle isn’t contacting any more.

Yes they did. There was not a lot of adjustment due to a positioning pin.
But they managed to adjust it like on the passenger's side.
The buckle now doesn't make contact any more.
Take a look at the before and after pics in my reader's rides thread. You can see the difference.
Only the felt is no cure the issue will return if they don't solve the cause.

Well that sucks. I suppose the factory has to work overtime to get all these done.

Got the new upholstery done this friday. The buckle now has a steeper angle as well, I just think that the protection arround the buckle is only half-assed. It doesnt even cover the whole buckle - just the upmost part - and the material is very thin. I'm probably gonna buy a seat belt protector, cut it in half and fit it over the buckle.

The velcro like protection isn’t really needed.
If all is well the buckle just passes the seatbase.
I have no more issues.

A slightly linked point, but is it only me where the passenger seat buckle (when the seat is not used) clanks against the hard shell of the seat. Seat has to be really far forward or back to avoid
