my tyres were also rubbing against the wheel arch at CC but only when I carried passengers.

<beep>... are you going to have them replaced??
I suppose that it doesn't show so bit of a dilema.. what about water ingress?

Jeeeeeeeez! thats well low........ since im not a tuning guru i cant say much about lowered suspension except i really like the car not to sit too much lower than oem...... i really liked the way JR`s RS4 was setup.... quattro GmbH suspension i believe....... very smart and looks oem! Rob,

I take it you know that your roof bars are not in the right position?

Of course why there is a 'correct' position is beyond me - what's the point of roof rails if the bars are always supposed to be in the marked position?

Interesting that your car is lower at the back than the front.

Mine has been lowered but it is lower at the front than that back. Look here.

Is there a "correct" position?

Dippy ----> The load bars can be placed anywhere along the roof rails, so long as weight is distributed evenly. The markers I assume you are referring to (little white arrows visible when the doors are open) indicate proper placement of aftermarket roof racks which attach to the roof. Since the Avant comes with roof rails (all avants in the US are so equipped), the arrows do not apply.

Joshie ----> Yeah, I had 150 lbs worth of dogs in the very back (boot), another couple hundered pounds worth of stuff in the rear seat and the roof box was completely full. I traveled nearly 1000 miles like that (95% interstate highway) and only bottomed twice, both times while crossing major road undulations at around 85 mph. I stressed the entire trip (14 hours) about what a payload like that might be doing to the suspension components, but had no choice and have noticed no ill effects since.
