96k Service

Post by ShaneyB » Mon Feb 20, 2006 2:23 pm

Men,
Just about to put my beloved in for a high mileage service but was shocked to get a quote for £250.00. I've spoken to another engineer (not Audi and services my wife.....err her car) who will charge me £90.00 for the same. Pollen filter, oil filter, oil change, sump plug and lube hinges. I had the cam, water pump etc done recently but just wondered what you guys would do in my shoes.? The service that was done when I bought the car was by an independant, non Audi dealer so should I be right in thinking my FASH counts for nowt now..?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Shane

Well it is only about 30 to 45 mins work. Then again a good oil will set you back £60, so maybe he is using chip fat.
