As long as I don't think about the moment of it leaving. If I do then it's just wailing and howling noises. Then I do. So I don't think about it!steve2003rs6 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 1:53 pmSaloon owners are getting fewer on here ?

On another site earlier this week. It said only 57 x RS6 c5 saloons remain on UK Roads.
Don’t know where the data come from. Or even if it’s accurate.

57. Blimey. That's not many. Think there were only 200 odd to start with.
Rarity doesn't seem to be affecting prices. When I bought mine it was advertised in the February and I didn't get it until July when they lopped a grand off the price. Retail seems to be about the same as it was nearly a decade ago. Many seem to be sitting on Autotrader for ages before selling. No idea why. You get supercar performance with a decent boot and a ski bag.

Hi Suz. Yeah totally agree with you on sales prices and what you get for the money.
The sheer acceleration and performance always puts a huge smile on my face. Especially since replacing the inter coolers and associated hoses.
12 years ago mine was advertised for £13K
In the end we agreed on £12.5K
Spent a small fortune since on her. But that’s irrelevant as I am keeping her for the foreseeable future. So long as I have a driving license and health permits, the car is going nowhere.
Really not looking forward to the day when I have to move her on. Totally dreading it.

Hopefully the new owner of mine will be as diligent as you and put some miles on it rather than having it sit around too much!steve2003rs6 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 5:14 pmHi Suz. Yeah totally agree with you on sales prices and what you get for the money.

Good spot
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Wow! I was wondering if it'd end up on YouTube. Hope it behaves itself!
Didn't realise I'd spent so much over the years. Gulp.

The buyer got an absolute bargain at that price.
Re: I didn't think this would ever happen...
Certainly did. It was well below estimate. At least I can have vicarious ownership via YouTube. Bet he keeps it longer than a year!
