Hi,
I only do cash on collection due to past scams.
So let me know where you are located.
I require just one used wheel but will buy more than one if required.
Thanks.

Ok, thanks for the reply.
It would not be cost effective for me to import used parts from Canada. Thank you for the offer.

Ex B6 owner, spotted one of these on ebay a while back, and its still showing for sale:

Absolutely zero connection to seller I must add!

I will message Phil regarding the rather dubious replies to your original wanted post Ed.....

Hi Ian,
Well spotted!
I had seen the advert marked as a 17 inch wheel but now I look more closely at the pictures it is marked as a 18x8j ET45 which is the correct wheel for the B6 S4.
I have contacted the seller to confirm the picture is of the wheel he is selling. He looks like a genuine seller by the parts on his ebay page.
Thanks again

Item showing sold, hope you lucked out, great price, and a museum-piece Goodyear GSD3! :beerchug:

(My 205 had a set of those when I bought it 20 years ago - and I'm pretty sure my spare still is one!)

Hi again,
Yes I bought the wheel off Ebay.
The seller didn't want to organise shipping so I sorted that out. I was surprised how many couriers said they would not transport wheels and tyres.
In the end I used Parcel Hero who organised the pick up and also provided labels on collection.
The wheel is scheduled to be picked up on Tuesday and delivered Wed/Thurs so hopefully all is sorted!
When I get the wheel I will consider having it tidied up to match the others on the car. It will be a spare and I will make a decision on the tyre when I have seen it.

It was a blowout on the M25 that wrecked my original wheel and I don't want to repeat that experience!!

I have an RS4 B7 as well now (no spare wheel because of the battery in the rear) and based on this experience it might be a good idea to get a couple of OEM spare wheels ahead of needing them..............

Thanks again, Ed.

Looking closely at the photos, the tyre appears to be date stamped 2007

Hi Ian,
A message to close this one off. The wheel has arrived and is exactly what I wanted.
It is tidy enough to use as a spare with no bad scratches, dings or kerb rash.
The tyre has never been on the road and there is no sign of rubber degradation, probably because it has spent all the time in the wheel well.
I will think about a tyre change especially if I have the wheel powder coated.
As I said I had problems finding a courier for it and ended up using Parcel Hero who offer a label supply service on collection which made life easier for the seller.
Everything went to plan although delivery was one day later than forecast.
So this service could be useful to forum members who want parts classified as "collection only" picked up by a courier since it is painless for the seller.
Thanks again for the tip!
Ed.
