Vehicle electronics fault

My daughters A3 2014 1.4 TFSI, keeps getting the above message on her cluster lcd,

Full message - vehicle electronics fault shift to P before leaving vehicle.

Google brings various results some quite expensive does anybody have any ideas on what could be causing this please?

1.4 tfsi with Rs clocks??

When I was at a Skoda dealership we saw a similar issue with Octavia VRs’s, there was a issue with the micro switch at the bottom of the gear lever. Required either a new switch or a new gear lever. From memory wasn’t a cheap fix, but that is at stealer rates.

Thanks, I’ll try getting a local Indy to take a look as well as I’ve seen some scary figures being quoted on line.

Also just noticed I posted the wrong pic, my daughter sent me it alongside her own cars clocks. Fault is displayed the same way.

Hey there! My cousin's a3 had similar issues, ended up being a cheap fix.

Did the message appear after a specific event, like a long period of inactivity?
