Yeah, I have K04's now, car is doing 3.5-3.6 fats times and seems to be making good power.

It's a completely different car. The acceleration is relentless to the redline in any gear. Test drive recommended.

Hey!! who said i got k04s put on!?!?! :sekret:
Its really changed the car having the conversion. Theres a little less low end then there was before around the 2000-2800 rpm mark (not much mind), but after 3000 its flies!I know it sounds daft but the noise the K04 makes is different as well. On boost you can really hear it spooling up wheres as the K03s are a bit more subtle. If your K03s are on the way out the K04s are a no brainer for the extra cost. Also the K04s are a stronger turbo (apparently). Mapping the car with minhea was quite amusing, as i hadnt really driven in 3 weeks (apart from occasionaly a vw polo  ) and then had to do some runs with him. It was good to be involved so you know its been done right. The car now pulls cleanly from idle to the limiter (not that i ever drive it that hard apart from when it was getting mapped). The spool up on the K04s is very aggressive tho. I dont think id get the same amount of benefit as some from the conversion as i dont really drive that hard, but for someone that loves the boost its the way forward. Its been mapped to 1.2 bar (safe setup) now with no knocking and it holds boost without spiking straight through. Its really made me fall back in love with the car. Also with a little more investment theres plenty more power to be had for those that want it

BTW has the forum been offline the past day or so or is it my computer?

Oh, and thanks for the comments on my car. glad im not the only one that likes yellow :yellowrs4:

Cheers!

I was looking at your car at MRC Andy, very clean example. Enjoy the extra power.

If your pre-cats were gutted, that would explain some extra noise over K03's.

Site has been down, your PC is fine mate.

I take it back, perhaps there is something wrong with your PC mate. Or are you getting your post count up :)

There is a nice level bypass just up the road from me. I do 3 runs in each direction.
