what arb to use

Post by neilpalmer » Wed Feb 15, 2006 9:56 pm

ive read a lot of posts about changing the anti roll bars but which ones to go for i cant really find . are the rs4 ones a good upgrade or should i be going for something else . i allready have the h&r coilover kit . do we change front and rear , i wouldnt want to stiffen the set up to the point that when it does let go it becomes dangerous (im no power slider )

I've got the H&R arb's they don't really stiffen up the ride they reduce the cars angle whilst cornering and make the steering more responsive. They will also reduce the understeer affect, but after trying mine out you'll have to try very hard to induce any wheel slip at all. Even on a tight round-about the car stayed level and stupenously grippy.

I'd get em quick. theres a good guy in germany if your struggle, i'll dig out the email

I also got the H&R coilovers I'm amazed by the change in feel

i've just ordered me H & R's from phil w

coming on monday and will post the difference with stock shocks & springs

most people seem to go for springs & shocks first and then the ARB's but where i live the roads are not very german so i'm going for softer ride quality with reduced body roll for the twisty bends

i've ordered the 17mm rears not the 21mm so bit milder than the full works but baring in mind the thicker the bars the heavier weight your adding to the car

Are the 17mm rear bars adjustable?
