this is the clip that had come loose under the front of the seat.
there are three tabs that push in to clamp the leather. it took a few attempts but now it looks good.

In the end it took two mornings. The photos don't do it justice. It really has changed the feeling of the cabin. The leather hasn't got the thin greying lines anymore. Now it feels looks a well looked after classic.
(I also had mine for four years without doing anything)
I'll now do it every Spring & Autumn to try to keep the leather this good for years to come.
