BLOODLINE BATTLES C8 v C7 v C6

Post by welwynnick » Sun Mar 17, 2024 2:44 pm

I enjoyed watching this drag race video between C8 v C7 v C6, each with a stage 1 tune and about the same power.

There was something wrong with the C7, but the C6 put up a fine fight.

I suspect it may have had more torque than the others, which may have helped offset the better gearboxes.

I'm surprised that none of these cars have an MRC map TBH, they've been proven time and time again to be the best RS6 mappers in the UK. As for the races, well I'd also like to see the dyno for the C6 just to the torque figures because the first 1-2 seconds of each rolling race and drag race didn't show three "similar torque level (not HP)" cars, not even close :D

Also, the Tyre choices are "interesting" for the C6 as I'm guessing those tyres came with the new alloys but those Dimax R8's tyres have the wrong load spec and width (265mm instead of 275mm = less grip and speedo out & 99 instead of 102 = about 300kg less weight carrying ability across all 4 tyres) but yet still do really well. Would be cool to see it with some "proper" MPS4S with 275/35-20 102Y XL tyres on it though for even more grip.

CarWow did another similar version of this with Stock C5 through to a C8 and the result was as you'd expect, with each new model being faster than the previous.

Just watched this, that C6 does have an MRC badge on the back, just to keep you guessing 😉
