Potential RS4 Owner Service Question
Re: Potential RS4 Owner Service Question
With the fantastic soundtrack of the V8 engine and exhaust, would you really notice any significant improvement with the B&O sound system? Probably not. I have a BOSE sound system in one of my other cars, and don't notice any real difference in that system above the standard system.
Congratulations on your prospective purchase!

Thanks, JD. Will post some pics up & give a full appraisal once I've had some time with it.johnnydog wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 7:16 pmWith the fantastic soundtrack of the V8 engine and exhaust, would you really notice any significant improvement with the B&O sound system? I personally wouldn’t let the amount of owners put you off as these seem to get passed about as much as a Porsche 911! I’m in the same boat and am focusing on service history as a priority. But definitely with b&o / leather/ sports pack. Never had such a struggle finding a decent car

As long as each new owner who is 'scratching an itch' hasn't been ragging it around until the itch has been scratched...?

Well, that’s a bit of gamble you have to take & just hope to God that the car hasn’t been ragged to death! Thankfully the car I’m going to look at has had the same owner for the last 8 years & has only done approx 25k miles in that time.

@loopseychops did you pick the car up from York yesterday?
I collected a Misano red RS4 from Doncaster yesterday, my brother picked me up from York station to go down to get it, and while waiting for him saw RS04ZAP on trade plates pull in and pick someone up.
Lovely looking thing!!

I didn’t mate, no. I got a lower mileage, immaculate Panther Black one from elsewhere.killysprint wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2024 2:05 pm@loopseychops did you pick the car up from York yesterday?

Ive seen this a lot with cars that are expensive to run. You get quite a few owners early on who soon find that all the vpower insurance and tax costs the same as another small car. So they run it for a year and then shift it on.michir wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 5:56 pmI personally wouldn’t let the amount of owners put you off as these seem to get passed about as much as a Porsche 911! As you get past the 10 year mark you are generally into enthusiasts with good quality cars and wannabees with the rough ones.
