As per title. RS has been SORN and on trickle charge since October. Handbrake off etc.
Anything I need to check/do before starting or just fire up like normal? Oil level is good and had a change not long before storing for winter.
I know 5 months is very different from a year or two and I’m probably over thinking it but am I going to cause any problems by just firing her up?
Thanks

Re: Starting for the first time in 5 months
Hi,
I have an S4, B6. Mine sits for long periods on a maintenance charger too.
Before I attempt to start I remove the fuel pump fuse (fuse 28 on mine) and crank it for 60 seconds to get oil round the bearings and pump up the timing chain tensioners.
Replace the fuse and it should fire up no problem. Depending on the car you may have to reset a low fuel pressure fault logged in the engine ECU.
Hope this helps.
