Rubber Mats and Boot liner

Post by Nath-RS » Sun Feb 11, 2024 10:01 am

Hi,

Get my car next week and has the normally standard carpet mats. For winter (maybe all the time) I will be getting some rubber mats asap. On eBay there is some really nice genuine RS rubber mats, Rs6 and RS3 but nothing for RS4? Is this right? Surely they must be RS ones and not just the A4 ones?

Is the Audi boot liner good enough? Or is there a better one? Thanks

Nathan

I've never seen any rubber floor mats specifically for the RS4, generic A4 ones yes.
I've only ever come across the official Audi embroidered ones, fearsomly expensive and usually only offered in LH drive!.

I don't think that anyone in Europe wants to face the wrath of VAG by making unauthorised mats with the RS4 logo on and the Chinese don't seem to see a big enough market for them.

Fearsome is exactly that, Aliexpress has nothing car mat wise listed with the RS logo.

They have a nice set of cup holder liners

I cut a boot protector from some rubber mat you can buy by the metre I got off ebay with a chequer pattern on it.
I made it in two parts so if needed I could access the jack compartment without having to remove the entire contents of the boot to then remove the boot mat to the access the jack and tools.
It depends on how frequently you carry spillable liquids in you boot :nodder:

You could always stick RS badges into the mat yourself

Thanks guys, will probs go OEM in the end. Having a look to see where is cheapest.

@jools seen them are branded carpet ones (front only) on eBay… expensive but man they are nice.

On a previous forums I have been on they have done like group buy in with a manufacturer and had some made up specifically..

New car day tomorrow… rather excited

Long drive home but worth the wait, in love! Haha

Car is mint! Home safely tucked away now. Will get some better ones, this weekend after it’s first mini detail.

Brilliant mate 👍 I was going to see that car, the story was right and it had the spec looked very clean.

I need 2 days of dry weather to sort mine as the owner used hand car wash’s its swirl city.

Will be giving mine a full decontamination, clay, sealant and wax . I will have the wheels off and do the inner arches and calliper and ceramic coat the wheels.

The paint on mine is great so there is no need to use any cutting pads for correction. Have you got a machine polisher?

Sure you will, but 2 bucket wash with gravel guards is just the minimum really, no sponges.. I am right fanny man!!

I will post up some pics of the me doing a detail on the car and progress around this over the next few weeks.

I have been lucky with the car, it’s got 24k on and inside and out it’s a beauty, PPF on front end and rear bumper was an extra bonus. Turned up to find a OEM boot liner in place and got my rubber mats from Audi today, got to be done for this time of year
