Front parking sensors

Post by steve2003rs6 » Thu Jan 04, 2024 1:00 pm

Hi all.
What front parking sensors are we using these days and from where.
Just quoted £587.52 for 4 original sensors. That’s crazy.

The site says that it doesn’t fit a c5.
Obviously you have installed one of them on yours so I reckon they must fit.
From what I can find out the originals are made by Valeo.

Some original valeo sensors available at Autodoc at approximately £70.00 each which have the correct part number.

Why do you need 4 sensors?
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Might be the front buzzer I need (8E0919279) and not a sensor as originally thought.

Or a control unit 8E0919283.

Update. Sensors all tested ok. Front buzzer and control unit installed. Parking assist now working as it should.
