Audi Extended Warranty

Post by mikeyw » Sun Dec 17, 2023 12:58 pm

So, my RS6 hits its 3rd birthday early next month so I’m exploring extended warranty. Has anyone gone with the Audi direct offering and do you have any experiences of its cover ?

Or have you gone 3rd party ?

Knowing how much parts and labour are on these things I don’t want to chance it

I would (and will) go Audi, I think its a grand or so and much easier to argue with a dealer when you have the in house offering.

I wouldn't fancy a major failure with my warranty by a third party.

Exactly my thinking and is what I’ve done - got an electrical issue and dealer no hassle just working through it so I’m glad I went for the Audi one now.

I don’t think it’s direct with Audi and still a 3rd party although marketed by them. We took it out the major components on our rs4. Glad we did as we had the DRC shocks changed at what would have been a cost of circa £5k. Got considerably cheaper the 2nd year also. They were great to deal with to be honest. The dealer took care of the whole process, no courtesy car included though. I guess it’s dealer specific the level of service you get.

Without doubt go for Audi’s extended warranty. Yes it’s a third party warranty but you would not know.

Link below to get a quote, always cheaper if you are joining without a lapse in the manufacturers warranty and starting the expended warranty.

Would also recommend Audi’s roadside assistance, it’s around £90 but when you break down the work with the dealership and warranty and often get you into a loan car the same day.

Depends on a variety of factors, age and mileage, cover, excess, etc

Last time checked it was about £1.4k for a 3 year old car with 15k and no excess with full cover.

The Audi warranty is excellent, but watch the mileage declaration. I almost had an issue with my C7, declared current mileage a month before policy went live. Then towards the end of the policy had a claim, but I had just gone over the declared mileage. However, if you took the last month of the previous year out it wouldn’t have exceeded the limit. Audi honoured it but did make the point.
