Rear parking sensor
Rear parking sensor
I think I know the answer to this but do I have to pull the rear bumper to replace one of the parking sensors? Or is there a shortcut?
I have identified the faulty sensor and have a new part already sprayed up. Is it plug and play or will I need to use VCDS to reset etc?
Thanks

Re: Rear parking sensor
When unit 20 replaced mine it was bumper off to replace the central sensors.
I believe the outer ones can be done without removing the bumper.
Plug and play I believe.

What Steve said.
They are plug and play.

Re: Rear parking sensor
From memory unit 20 replaced my rear outer sensors with the bumper in place.
But they did have it up in the air on a ramp.
So I would have thought a jack and axle stands would offer similar access.

Re: Rear parking sensor
Okay I did this!
In the end I replaced 3 sensors teach me to scan the car before stripping it won’t it!
Whoever has done it with the bumper on I salute you, not a prayer for me and I have thin arms!
Anyway bumper off in 10 mins highly recommend doing that and there’s a good seller on eBay £29.99 a sensor painted to the colour of the car
