Starter Motor part number

Post by RSrich81 » Sun Dec 17, 2023 3:27 pm

Hi All

As above I’m after the part number for the starter motor, cant find it on the LLL part catalog and Autodoc lists a Bosch part but want to double check before ordering.

I’m guessing the Original part is Bosch?

Cheers
Rich

It's in the electrical section of ETKA.
Starter is 07C 911 023 H or 07C 911 023 HX if you go for a dealer exchange. VAG list the starter as 1.7Kw but it carries a Bosch number of 0 001 108 237 which according to the factory info I could find is 1.4Kw.
It's sensible (actually, pretty essential) to replace the starter/alternator cable part 07L 971 225 B and the exciter cable plug 1K0 973 751 as well as they'll most likely be cooked too.
Any mechanic who can successfully replace those parts with the engine in situ deserves to tripple (at least) their hourly rate.

Yeap the OEM is Bosch Pt No - 07C911023H - for a brand new one or Pt No - 07C911023HX for a refurbished one direct from Audi.

The Autodoc page for it is - https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem ... r%5B%5D=30 and the £168 one is correct. However, read the above reply for more info on why its hard to change and what extra parts you'll probably want to change at the same time!

Thank you very much.

I had seen the other post regarding the wiring and have ordered those parts.

Thank you
Rich
