Jacking point

Post by Coolguy » Sun Nov 26, 2023 9:42 am

Hi guys, hope your ok. You might be in the same boat as me if you own a rs4 b8.5 or even an a4 b8.5 etc.

The jacking points with a 3ton jack leaves no room for an axle stand if I need to get all 4 wheels off the floor etc.

My question is using a type of hockey puck adapter etc can you or have you jacked just to the sides of the pinch weld on the plastic part (in red) etc? So this leaves room for the stands?

Looks like the picture you posted, the puck has a groove in it for the jacking point.

Has yours similar?

Hi there, yes our RS4 has the small cut away for the jacking point but it's not large enough to place an axle stand etc. My thought was to jack just next to it etc to leave room for a stand..

The plastic cover covers further down so im not sure you can. i think your best bet is to put it on the subframe?
