MPS2 tyres are very good and highly predictable. If y ou drive the car hard you will get about 9k-10k miles per set. Note that the rears will wear slower than the fronts so you should rotate them at 5k intervals.

Thanks for the advice... I'm not sure but they may well be the original set, they seem to have quite a bit left in them, but as you rightly say, rears seem slightly fresher than the fronts... I'm sure if Mark sees the post he will enlighten us. I expect them to last for some time, as I drive like my mum.

I do have a query RE front discs - certainly not in the way they stop, but the bells are pitted, which bugs me purely from a cosmetic perspective... I've seen than some guys have had new discs under warranty, sub 15k miles or so - anyone hazard a punt at what my chances might be?

Thanks, and can't wait to get back in it :boots:

Had a set of fronts discs & pads replaced by Audi last year as they only lasted a few thousand miles but the best I could get was goodwill contribution, I think I paid half.

Nice car by the way, how many time have you cleaned it today?

Looks great Bob, I nearly went for black with my Plus, almost wish I had now...looks the part. Have you got a stiff neck from driving with the windows down yet??
