RS6 steering wheel badge insert

Post by Swan » Fri Aug 11, 2023 7:18 am

Hi,

Little detail! Anyone know where to get a new RS6 steering wheel badge? The paint has worn away on mine 👎🏼

And do they just pop off with a trim tool?

Cheers

Andrew

I seem to remember someone buying one on eBay a while ago. Just stuck on IIRC.

Above topic. Nice find Ben.
It was me. Yes they just flip out and press back in.

See if I can dig the info out. Had some spare ones. But they disappeared with my cable.
I bought mine via eBay. The one above is the only one I can find. Will need to check compatibility for the c5 with the seller.
I think they were around £40 when I bought them.

Must admit. I am tempted to get the steering wheel.

There is a rs4 badge for sale on eBay. I have dealt with sellers in Lithuania before.
So I text him to see if he had any c5 rs6 badges.
No luck I am afraid.

Also contacted Bellavolante.
This is the company who sold me the badges 4 years ago.
Not received a response as yet.

Update.
Bellavolante out of stock as well.
Not looking promising to get one.
Took a while to get back to me. But they thoroughly checked to see if they had one hidden anywhere.

I was lucky enough to get one from Audi two years ago.
At the time I was told it was the last one.
Seems this is a recurring theme. For those who have had these cars for years I'm sure this was always on the horizon.
I'm hoping I can keep mine long term so been looking into creating a spares collection.
I still can't think of a wagon I'd want instead other than the RS2, and that would likely be a garage queen.

Simply get a 4 spoke wheel and sidestep the badge issue. :) Plus that way you get useful buttons and nice warm hands in winter.
