Need coilovers asap
Need coilovers asap
Hi, I have been looking everywhere and can’t seem to find any coilovers for my rs6 without many months wait because everywhere there on backorder. Does anyone have a used pair of coilovers for sale? I have a deadline 18/8 to get my car ready so any help would be much appriciated!
Re: Need coilovers asap
I don't have any but clarification might be helpful. Are you looking for dampers or adjustable platform springs?
I believe kits like this are more popular on these than replacing the damper as well.

Re: Need coilovers asap
No this is just a kit for lowering the car, my damper is shot on left front and right rear hydraulic line connection is leaking so i’d rather replace everything with coilovers and trash the hydarulic fluid system. I have no electronic connectors on my dampers.cammmy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 10:20 amI don't have any but clarification might be helpful. Are you looking for dampers or adjustable platform springs?

From the two most recognised brands I know (KW and Bilstein) you have the following choices -
Basic suspension replacement with no adjustability other than height -
Bilstein B14 - https://www.bilstein-shocks.co.uk/produ ... 9ddb&_ss=r
KW v1 - https://www.kwsuspensions.co.uk/shop/AU ... e/1021000S
Top of the range suspension replacement which gives adjustable settings like Bump & Rebound etc as well as height -
Bilstein B16 (PSS9) - https://www.bilstein-shocks.co.uk/produ ... 9ddb&_ss=r
KW v3 - https://www.kwsuspensions.co.uk/shop/AU ... e/3521000S
There is suspension available from a few other makes who I've never heard of before and even air suspension available too but, it it were me, I'd pick one of those 4 above as they are known brands with known good quality and a good warranty should something go wrong.

Sadly I too am in the need of something like one of the above...
Re: Need coilovers asap
Just for a giggle I checked the Price and Availability from a main dealer (Rear Shocks only)

Good Morning
Price for the rear shocks on your car will be £700.20 inc vat each . (parts only )
These would go factory back order , so could take a couple of months to get in .
We would need you to come in to the dealership and pay for these up front before we order them .

Mine was a touch over £600 earlier in the year and arrived in about 3 days.

i also went to an independent (in France) and gave them the KYB (OEM) part no and they couldn't get it..
The Dealer I asked was Maidstone Audi....is there another pure Audi dealer ?

JCT600 Audi - though I believe I got my order in just before an across the board price increase. It might be worth trying Audi Parts Direct which is Mon Motors/Cardiff Audi in real life.

Re: Need coilovers asap
Audi parts didn't recognise the Shock Part No, and only seem to sell Discs for the RS6....
Re: Need coilovers asap
reply from Germany Audi Centre
the shock absorber costs 943,-€ incl. VAT and does not have a delivery date, we will only receive this one day after the binding order.
