Re: RS6 Performance Insurance
My 2020 RS6 vorsprung would have been £800 this year with Churchill
I’ve just paid for my 2023 RS6 vorsprung, £2500 with admiral

Did you see my post above?
Your car (2023 perf vorsp) is £1500 for me at 36 with elephant and that's before I add my wife, tracker or even before I have looked at multicar!
You've got a 14 day cooling off period! i'd exercise that!

I did, I played with variables, I can only assume my postcode is a bit rubbish (KT3) I also tried my parents postcode is leafy Sussex, still rubbish. It might be as it’s my only car, I’m 47 14NCB, clean licence, sensible IT job etc

Re: RS6 Performance Insurance
To add....
Had my C6 RS6 with Adrian Flux for years, changed it to Admiral this year as AF suddenly bumped my quote a large %.
Bought a 488 Spider 2 months ago, tried AF first.. quoted £5000 (!) just for the Ferrari.
Admiral quoted £441 to add it to my RS, but the abysmal experience calling and dealing with them meant that was out, and I will be moving to someone else next year for the RS.
Couldn't get anywhere in the Country to cover GAP insurance due to the value of the car.
Ended up with Locktons for the Ferrari at ~£1500.
Full NCB over 30 years, no convictions safe area.

That’s a lot for the 488. F12 was well under a grand for me as an add on, with then admiral. All of the insurers have their foibles. If you want no quibble and tip top service Hiscox can’t be beaten, though motor not available directly, only through broker and of course it has the price tag to go with it.
I’d go back to NFU when the time comes, previously gave me a sensible number for a 911TTS.

Re: RS6 Performance Insurance
I know most won’t wanna hear this, but ‘22 C8 S6 to ‘23 C8 RS6 Perf cost me an additional £38, think total annual premium is about £650, with Admiral. Have GAP with ALA and was only a couple hundred quid. Yes I’m an old fart in Norfolk with no naughtiness

Forgot to mention NFU, they quoted ~£1000 but I couldn't get GAP anywhere so went with Locktons.
Can't remember if I tried Hiscox but thanks for the recommendation.

GAP back to invoice presumably? Probably easier to get agreed value on the insurance policy than pay twice.
NFU works best with new cars with the new car clause for vehicles under two years old.
Your servicing costs will make all of this look like small beer. They are needy fuckers, it drove me bonkers, and I was in the seven year servicing plan! I went back to pork.

I couldn't find anywhere that offered GAP above £150,000.doodlebug wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 9:32 amGAP back to invoice presumably? Probably easier to get agreed value on the insurance policy than pay twice.

It still has 2 years left on the 7 year plan.
Going into Swindon this month for service, and wheel repair that Manchester damaged the day before delivery.

It's because of Porsche I bought this, can't stand the people I have dealt with at Colchester/Bristol.
Gonna enjoy it for a year or two and then see.

Re: RS6 Performance Insurance
By the looks of it things are changing monthly / daily.
I've refreshed my quote with Admiral yesterday and while it was initially (couple of months ago) coming in around £400 more than my GT3 (total £1400) ....its now £170 less!
Bonkers!

Agreed value on the insurance policy is worth checking out.
I’ve had equally good and bad across brands. I have a good relationship with Pork, maybe luck as to who and when. I had a mixed bag from Fez.
As ownership propositions Fez and Pork miles apart. I’m older and wiser now, might consider an 812 at some point. For now I’m back to the ultimate go anywhere anytime sports car. The F12 was sketchy in anything other than good dry weather!
The RS6 is an interesting proposition again, though dealing with my local Audi centre less appealing.

The only reasonable place I could find with agreed value was Locktons for the 488.
I've never owned a Pork, I actually went to Porsche Bristol in March for finance approval on a new 992 Turbo S. Got approved, told them to email me with the numbers to go over and never heard from them! That was the last straw, I've found Porsche arrogant and useless in my experiences at Colchester/Bristol.
I still love my C6 RS6 after 9 years ownership, but now having the 488 I'm realising it's 'old' and now looking for something as a daily replacement although I would love to keep it too. Storage is my problem. First world problems!
Thanks for the heads up anyway.

Re: RS6 Performance Insurance
VWFS rates were laughable, I went elsewhere.
Be aware your seven year plan starts on the day manufacture was completed not when first registered. This was one point of contention/learning from my experience.
