I effing hope so Ben.
At this rate I will have to go back to work mate.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Casting my (fading) memory back. I didn’t have a leak until I had the diffs and transfer box oil change done.

But that was a while back.

Will update when garage is booked to do the work.

Good question Bilco.
I used forward2me in Germany. Audi tradition sent parts to forward2me in Germany. Then forward2me sent the parts to me.
The route my parts took was
Germany
Germany
Belgium
Poland
UK

I had to pay German tax at 19% to Audi tradition.
Then pay uk tax and import duties before they would release the parts for delivery to me.
Believe me it gets expensive, and it took forever to receive the parts.

I now use deutscheparts (01531 640800) in the uk. If they don’t have the parts. They will obtain them for you even from Audi tradition.
They give you a price and that’s it. No vat or import duties to worry about. They do all that for you. The price they give you is the price you pay.
And they are great guys to deal with.
I usually ask deutscheparts if they have a part. If they have great.
If they don’t I inform them that Audi tradition or whoever have them and provide them the part number.
They give me a price. I pay for them and they are delivered to me.

I have recently bought parts from
Audi tradition Germany
RS Carparts Germany
LLL parts UK
Deutscheparts UK
UAB-GTV-Trading Lithuania
If I find other companies I have used I will add them here.

Hope this helps all of you wanting parts.

Deutsche-parts sound the most useful if they can deal with all the hassle.

They do have a website: https://www.deutsche-parts.co.uk/

Then there is the obvious
TPS
Autodoc

Feel free to add any good parts suppliers to the list.

I would add that for every good supplier I found. I must of found three that I wouldn’t use again or recommend.

The remaining three parts are due to arrive tomorrow and car is booked In to have the work done.

Hopefully soon have the tiny oil leak sorted from the nearside front driveshaft. It has been a real pain in the backside to identify where the leak is coming from.

Parts have now arrived.
Car booked in 28/07/23 to have the work done.

Thanks Steve, TPS are pretty much useless these days as everything is NLA and Audi Tradition won't even deal with them.

I think we all know where this is going.
If we get the nearside driveshaft done.
Then the offside driveshaft will have to follow !

Just got the car back from the garage.
Hopefully oil leak is finally sorted.
Time will tell.
Cannot believe all the parts on nobbys list were needed and replaced.
Just to renew the ns drive shaft oil seal.

The parts shown on the invoice are those that the garage purchased on my behalf.
I obtained the rest from Germany.

I have not heard fan 1 kick in since it was fitted.
But I haven’t seen any high oil or water temperatures either.
Even on long runs.
Maybe it is running but it is really quiet and I cannot hear it.
So decided to use Vagcom to start them up on test.
Selected output tests and I was able to run both fans.

However it took ages to get Vagcom to work.
Selected engine
Selected output tests.
Every time I pressed start/next
I kept getting error message protocol has not been met.

Kept shutting the program Down and restarting it again from scratch.
Must of taken 15 mins before I eventually got it to work.
All other Vagcom functions worked ok.
Anyone else have a similar problem.
