Thoughts?

I've been contemplating on an idea of buying (yet another another) C6.

Running costs are really high (fuel, tax, maintenance)... just wonder if they are worth a punt considering they are well over 10y old now with possible huge bills ahead .

First thought is that a better title would help.
Second thought is that, yes, running costs are very high.
Third thought is that depreciation costs are very low, so total cost of ownership isn't that high.
Final thought is use another car as your daily driver.

One i find hard to swallow is that road tax is double the cost of fully comp insurance. Either way, I've seen few at 100k mark and wonder what are they (truly) worth? Prices seem to be all over the place now.

I'd like to know where you get your insurance if your road tax is double that, Mine aren't that far apart. That might have something to do with the fact that every time my speeding points come down I seem to go get another for some reason. I've absolutley no idea why that would be

Second hand market is generally very strong at the moment, my lad sold his corsa having had it as his first car for 2 years and managed to make nearly 15% on the sale!, mainly driven by the chip shortage which is still impacting new builds, so if you were going to take the plunge I would wait a while.....

Insurance in UK is a science to me tbh... every time I run it in any of the comparison sites it comes w/a a different figure.

I ended up getting S8 D4... amazing car and somewhat different to C6.
