Car is due a service and will be getting the parts myself if it helps save a few quid.

Audi part num is - 101905631C. I believe Bosch are the manufacturer for the Audi plugs.

Does anyone know what the Bosch part number is?

Would be nice to save a few quid and get the same part without paying the main dealer tax

Bosch part is 0242240627. ML Performance currently list them at £7.20 on their web site but that's really low, normally you can find them around £11, and Audi plugs at the same price too.

Was planning to get oil filter, air filter, pollen filter from dealers... Is it worth avoiding dealers for any of these?

Depends what you mean by 'worth'. Sometimes Audi service parts are surprisingly cheap compared to expectations, other time they're eye-watering. Earlier in the year I managed to pick up a pair of OE air filters for around half normal dealer price but that was really unusual. Other than 'performance' filters they aren't (to my knowledge) available aftermarket. As for the other filters, it's your decision - if you go for non-dealer supply you can save a few quid (aftermarket oil filters range in price from around £6 to £33 or so) and you might hit on the own-brand version of the OE item.

I'll definitely get the oil filter from the main dealers. I've always done this.

Re air filters; im thinking it may be an opportunity to upgrade and go for performance ones, but I haven't decided.

The dealers told me the plugs are only done every 100k ish miles! Does that sound right? I'm pretty sure the last service with the plugs done was around 80-90k from memory. The mileage now is around 122k.

Yeah, 'longlife' plugs. TBH, at around £10-12 a time I changed them every couple of years - less now I'm doing around a tenth of the mileage I used to cover.

As for performance filters, I've just pulled a set of BMC and fitted OE filters. Cleaning, washing and reoiling the BMCs isn't a 10 minute job - more like 10 days so unless you want the car off-road for a week or so you need two sets - one set in the car and the other set cleaned and reoiled ready for the next service. And as for reoiling, how much should you apply? Too little and they don't filter out all the dust, too much and not only is air flow blocked but excess oil is sucked in. I found a coating of red BMC oil inside the downstream parts of my air boxes and in the turbo intakes. The filters I took out I soaked in a full bottle of BMC cleaner for a couple of days but they still aren't free of oil.

I will probably leave the plugs then to be honest. Considering they are designed for 100k + miles, I think 30k is fine for now.

I'll just stick to dealer parts for the oil filter, air filter and pollen filter.
