Rusty trim clips

Post by ChrisA » Wed Jun 21, 2023 3:16 pm

This is a satisfying little job that’s been bugging me since I brought the car, replacing the rear quarter lower ally window trim clips. No more rusty water marks. 😎

Ahhh! Very interesting, I have to admit I have the rusty water marks on mine & was fearing the worst thinking it was full on blisters on the paint work under the trim

Piece of cake to get the trim off once you know how. The only issue is that it looks like the clips are NLA now. Thankfully I’ve just brought a load. 😉

They look very similar to the clips I got for the front windscreen exterior trim Chris.

Possibly mate, I wouldn’t know. I can check the part numbers if you like?

So your rear quarter lower trim retaining clip is different to the Avant (Loon is 4B5853929 and the Avant is 4B9853929A)

Regarding the front windscreen, I’ve not seen what you’re talking about however maybe this CAD covers it with part number 4B0853707D?
