Riiiiiiight some progress. Got the drivers carpet lifted an it was soaking wiring is wet but doesnt look corroded and the box that the TCU in is bone dry. So hoping drying it all out will sort it.

Just need to find if its the air con drain thats been suggested or the ecu box an bonnet pull in the scuttle.

I ve dropped the glovebox an taken the heater box air con drain pipe out so I can check the hole through the bulkhead. Before I go and start ramming a screwdriver through should this be clear to begin with or is it chances are its really cloggged up.

I have had a blocked AC pipe on a car before. It caused corrosion and made the chassis VIN unreadable, effectively writing off the car.

I wouldn't use a screwdriver. IIRC the drain has a kink in it and drains along the chassis under the car. Use low pressure compressed air or something. Or pour some water in to see if it drains.

Cheers I will do that.

Is there anything aircon related on the OS that could cause water ingres. I am struggling to see how that drain on the NS would cause water to pool in the OS.

From what I have read the plastic cradle that the cabin filter sits in has a foam seal at the bottom of it. This fails and lets water in from there into the passenger footwell....(RH drive cars)
