Excited

Post by Davey_B » Fri Feb 10, 2006 11:45 pm

Having recently joined this forum the first posts I read seemed all doom and gloom. Tales of 12 month waits and I might cancel my order, Avant woes when will it be here. Now people are getting news about delivery dates, demos in dealers, photos and video appering there's starting to be a good buzz.

Cheers up chaps, cars will be here soon and so will summer, hot sticky roads and women will start wearing less. It's going to be a good year.

At the moment for obvious reasons everybody is talking about getting their RS4 saloons. However there doesn't seem to be anyone talking about getting the Avant. Is there a trend towards buying the saloon instead of the Avant. I thought the Advant was going to be the one to get
Nardo Grey RS6 Vorsprung 600 PS 2021 model
Nardo Grey RS6 Performance 605 PS. Titanium
Misano Red RS4 B8 450 PS
Phantom Black RS4 B7 444 BHP

Ive ordered the saloon as I dont really need a Avant, personally I feel the saloon will out handle the Avant and Soft top.

Could be wrong......

The RS4 is a big car for me as ive always had fast hatchbacks and this is now a big step into supercar leauge for me...

Well chuffed, cant wait... but have no choice... mine should be with me in September.

Wooohoooo

Jezzer, IMHO the trend toward the salon is loosely based on the fact that its the only body style available at the mo. Our hands are tied in that respect. I,m sure the excitement around the avant will kick up again when we get closer to build and delivery dates.

I wonder how many people are pleased about the saloon option and this was actually a factor in them not buying the B5 in the first place.

I always wondered about a B5 saloon, I couldnt afford one back then but I would have most definately have gone for the saloon if they made one.

Yeh Riz avants not everyones cappucino. Wonder why Audi restricted the choice, or did they just think it was a right laugh to produce a supercar munching estate car? Crazy germans eh! Must have been a right giggle round the table that day....

Personally I love the versatility of the avant and will wait for the B7 avant to come on stream before I make the decision - but would love a LeMans!

What tyres are they being delivered with? Do manufacturers do deals with tyre compnaies for supply or do they test different tyres witht the cars to find the best. I know in the supercar league they develop the tyres with the cars but what about four door saloons?

Hi
Pirelli P Zero Corsas are extras. Here in Hungary the show car has Pirelli P Zero Rosso, but at my B5 RS4 was talking always about Pirelli too, and i got the car with Dunlops. In May, i will say, what type of tyre the car has.
Pete
