Re: Door lock micro switches
Re the microswitches at the beginning of this thread - I had a look a few years ago, but couldn't find a like for like replacement either. Could find identical except for one of the microswitch casings, IIRC.
The non genuine door looks have been designed slightly differently to use commodity switches - however the non-gen locks I had, the switches had moisture in and failed anyway. So if I get the point of needing new locks again but no OEM available, I'll get aftermarket ones (which mechanically were nice), but then replace the microswitches with top quality sealed ones I source myself.

Re: Door lock micro switches
I’d be worried about the post where the cheapo lock failed and the OP struggled to get the door open to remove it.
Otherwise, good idea. That’s why I was wondering if the mechanicals of the oe lock are compatible with the cheapo electronics, since they are quite distinct bits.

Yeah, I remember that post, so it would be something to check. The couple I had were mechanically very good, looked as good as OEM. But <beep> micro switches, so I went full OEM as they were available

Re: Door lock micro switches
All DTC,s cleared.
When I lock the doors with the remote all doors were showing as safe.
When unlocked
3 doors are showing as unlocked and not safe.
The rear right door is showing as locked and safe
Re checked for DTC,s two faults logged for the rear right door again.
Re: Door lock micro switches
Did you also check the physical action of the door handles?

Re: Door lock micro switches
Yes I could not open the rear right door from the inside.
Even tho it said it was not safe.
Could not open the other 3 doors.

Re: Door lock micro switches
So when all the doors were saying they were locked on the Vagcom you could still open the rear right door from the inside? What about from the outside?
When you unlocked presumably you could also open the rear right door?

Re: Door lock micro switches
Sorry Ben my mistake.
When locked with the remote. I can not open any door from the inside or outside.
When unlocked. The rear right door shows locked on Vagcom. But I can still open it so it isn’t really locked.

Re: Door lock micro switches
And when they are unlocked you can open them all?

Re: Door lock micro switches
Yes mate see above your last comment.
Re: Door lock micro switches
OK, so the motors and the mechanism are working but the CCM isn't recognising the position switches.
If it were my car, I would remove both left and right locks and swap them electrically (they don't need to be in place to test them). Then if the fault moves from right to left you know it's a dodgy lock. If not then it's a dodgy CCM / wiring fault.
