I had the same problem and replaced the near side fron sensor (fault code 776). Lights now work fine.

Thanks for that and the other input.

Car has had a lot of work done, including engine out, so I hope it's a loose connection situation.

Right checked tonight and the lights do not move up when turned on noticably but are also not aiming low either seem about right? Cleared off the DTC and it came back. Read a post about somebody disconnecting the motors and setting their lights manually, wonder if this has been done to my car previously ( had car 9 months now)? Will check wiring at the weekend.

Thanks
Brad

Guys,

Had my EGT sensor replaced and the DTC for this is now clear. Also had my headlights looked at at the same time and my mechanic said both the motors were working fine but one of the lights was out of alignment so he adjusted it. It seems to have stayed in alignment even though it has not been set with vag com, and the DTC for the Xenon has now also disappeared. Could it be that the light being out of alignment causing the DTC?

Thanks for all you help of this so far

Thanks,
Brad
