Scorpion Exhaust system--Resonated or Non Resonated.
Scorpion Exhaust system--Resonated or Non Resonated.
Wanting some advice around the Scorpion exhaust system, im not doing downpipes, just the front Resonator delete at the moment,
is the non resonated rear system livable? With the valves closed is it ok for highway driving? Or still a noisy exhaust?
Or is the resonated system with the front delete and open valves loud enough and then more manageable once closed?
Any experience or even sound bites be much appreciated.

Re: Scorpion Exhaust system--Resonated or Non Resonated.
I contacted scorpion about sound clips or videos for resonated They don't have any at all, all their videos are the none res only, there are a few of them on YouTube.
I think with the valves closed it should be fine. Although im in the same position i don't really want to buy one without first having more information.

Does seem unusual they havent made the effort to at least make a sound bite for the resonated version.

Hello,
I am wondering exactly the same question.
Resonated or non resonated ...
Very few information on the web about 2 configuration. Even if it should be similar to Milltek res or non-res.
I'm ready to order res version with Flex Pipe. But if non-res closed valve is livable this is for sure the right choice because OEM catback is already good in volume.

Did you guys purchase your catback since this topic was created ?
thanks

Re: Scorpion Exhaust system--Resonated or Non Resonated.
I’m also interested in the non res set up.
I have the Miltek non res at the moment and not happy with the rattle/flutter at Low revs.
This video has the Scorpion but the Miltek car also has the horrid rattle.
I’m worried to change exhausts if I can get rid of the rattle but I can’t hear it on the Scorpion car

I have the Non-res Scorpion and front delete pipe due to arrive in the next few weeks, so will post a video once its fitted.
But from the YouTube comparison, that convinced me to go for the Scoprion over the Miltek as I liked the sound a lot more.
And I had read about several Miltek owners complaining about droning/rattles etc.

OK I think we are in the same batch of production.
Scorpion will produce them mid of may (res and non-res version).
Thanks,

Out of interest, how does this affect MOT? Does it have to be removed every year or are they OK as long as the CATs are in place?

Honestly , I’d avoid them. Had the resonated set sent to oz , sound glorious on WOT BUT insane amount of drone an packing fiberglass firing out from the rear Centre resonator. Shoddy workmanship - I lost a lot of cash on this mistake. Go Miltek.

I'd look at Remus and APR as well

I went to buy a Remus about 6 months back and was told they were discontinued. Tuner couldn’t order it

People say that If you buy resonated version for example Miltek you waste moneys, definitely need non resonated version if you want your car to be brutal
Re: Scorpion Exhaust system--Resonated or Non Resonated.
Was there lots of drone when you had the rear mufflers open? Even from the resonated version?
I have the centre delete pipe fitted already and it made pretty much ZERO change to the engine note.
SO was going for the non resonated version as was worried the resonated would still be very tame.
